Discussion:
How do tornadoes happen in the real world?
First two winds meet together from opposite directions. They begin to
spin horizontally. Then hot and humid air rises to make a storm cloud
and the cold air goes down. The hot air pulls the tornado into a vertical
spin. The cold air pulls the tornado down so it touches the ground.
When it touches the ground it becomes a tornado. The width of the
tornado can be up to 10 kilometers. It can spin 100-500 kilometer per
hour. A tornado can last for 10-25 minutes. It is very very destructive.
It can wreck buildings and overthrow transportation. As it spins, the
speed gets faster and faster.
